Welcome to Holistic Trading, the on-line store offering a range of certified organic products - from mattresses to marmalades, from teas to towels!

Holistic Trading, established in 2007, aims to promote the products of the smaller organic producers and processors and in particular those that are registered with one of the UK organic certification bodies. As a result it is anticipated that these products will be exposed to a much wider customer base than might be expected from their own designated web sites.

Because the raw materials required to manufacture certain products are not grown in the UK it is necessary to offer some items that are not certified in the UK. These products are, however, certified by reputable European and other International organic authorities. In most cases the certification body is identified alongside the product so that if your conscience compels you to, not only buy organic, but also to buy British, the opportunity is there. You would then be taking two valuable steps towards reducing your 'carbon footprint'.

You will also find references to Fairtrade in some of the product descriptions. This will show that the imported products are inspected and registered to ensure the livelihood and welfare of farms, farm workers and rural communities in Third World Countries.

Where organic and Fairtrade products are not available we may offer alternatives with significant environmental benefits.

Using the Holistic Trading site will allow you, the customer, to access a range of products from smaller suppliers without the need to search for, and through, a number of individual sites. The prices will be the same too! By purchasing your requirements here you can be assured of minimising your carbon footprint since your order will be shipped directly from the supplier thus reducing the links in the supply chain.
